Time to prepare for the phase-out of the ÁNYK system and NAV’s digital transition

28/07/2026

According to information released by the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV), the General Form Completion Framework Programme (ÁNYK) will be permanently withdrawn from early 2027. The existing system will be replaced in its entirety by more modern digital solutions that will affect all taxpayers, including small and large enterprises, accountants and software developers. In order to ensure the seamless fulfilment of tax obligations – data notifications, returns and document submissions – it is advisable to commence preparations and information-gathering without delay.

To facilitate the process, NAV has established a comprehensive knowledge base on the home page of its official website, accessible under the “ÁNYK transition” menu item. The interface categorises information by user profile, enabling each stakeholder to review guidance and alternative platforms according to their taxpayer status and activities, without having to examine information that is not pertinent to them.

One of the key areas of the technological transition is machine-to-machine (M2M) communication without human intervention. Based on statements made at the authority’s most recent professional consultation, version 4.0 of NAV’s M2M data structure (BizonylatAPI) will be published on 31 July – one month earlier than originally planned – in response to industry requirements. This will enable software developers to commence preparations and implement the new technical specifications in good time.

The authority continuously updates the guidance materials and frequently asked questions available on its website. Specific queries may be addressed directly to anykkivaltas@nav.gov.hu.

Niveus supports businesses in preparing for the new M2M based VAT return processes through its proprietary eÁFA SmartConnect solution and the related service packages. The system assists in converting corporate data into an eÁFA compatible format, reconciling it with data available in NAV’s Online Invoice system, and identifying validation errors and potential VAT risks in advance. The technological solution is complemented by expert support, ensuring that the transition can be adequately prepared not only from an IT perspective, but also from a tax and process standpoint. Affected businesses are advised to assess at an early stage the extent to which their current systems and data meet the new requirements.

– foglalja össze a Niveus Consulting Group
